Suzanne's Toffee

Ingredients:

  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers

  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter

  • ½ cups sugar

  • 1 pkg. Semi Sweet Morsels

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
     

  2. In a cookie sheet with edges, line with foil paper. Place saltine crackers salt side up.

  3. Over high heat, boil sugar and butter together, whisking constantly until you see achieve a toffee caramel color. Pour hot mixture over the crackers. Bake for 5 minutes.

  4. Sprinkle chocolate over crackers and let stand until melted. Spread and refrigerate at least 15 minutes then break into smaller pieces.
