Suzanne's Toffee
Ingredients:
1 sleeve saltine crackers
2 sticks of unsalted butter
½ cups sugar
1 pkg. Semi Sweet Morsels
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350°
In a cookie sheet with edges, line with foil paper. Place saltine crackers salt side up.
Over high heat, boil sugar and butter together, whisking constantly until you see achieve a toffee caramel color. Pour hot mixture over the crackers. Bake for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate over crackers and let stand until melted. Spread and refrigerate at least 15 minutes then break into smaller pieces.
