Christine’s Sangria
My friend Christine is world famous for her sangria parties. I asked her to share her recipe and she has graciously provided it for me to put on this site. Of course in true Christine fashion, she added (and I quote), "If you really want to mix it up and cause some trouble at your get together you add some citrus vodka." That scares me...
Fruit:
For both red and white sangria, marinate strawberries, apples, pineapples, etc. in triple sec for at least 8 hours. If you want to add oranges, add them fresh.
Red Sangria
Liter of red sangria
Bottle of Beaujolais wine
½ liter of 7-up
1-2 cups Grand Marnier
White Sangria:
2 bottles chardonnay or pinot grigio
Orange juice
1 cup Grand Marnier
1 cup Brandy
7-up
**One disclaimer - all measurements are an estimate since Christine never really measures when she makes her sangria (that's how she rolls), so mix it until you like how it tastes.
