Ingredients:

• ¾ oz simple syrup

• 5 dashes Angostura bitters

• 1 dark red cocktail cherry

• 3 ounces bourbon

• Splash of sparkling water (Soda Stream, topo Chico, etc.)

• Garnish: orange peel

Preparation:

1. Muddle the cherry, simple syrup and bitters into a mixing glass.

2. Add the bourbon, and stir.

3. Strain into a rocks glass over one large ice cube.

4. Express the oil of an orange peel around the rim of the glass, then drop into the glass to garnish.
