Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 1 envelope onion soup mix

  • ½ teaspoon ginger

  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms

  • 3 ½ cups water

  • 3 cups uncooked wide egg noodles

  • 2 tablespoons flour

  • 1 cup sour cream

Preparation:

  1. Brown ground beef in vegetable oil and drain.  

  2. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix and ginger over meat.  Add uncooked egg noodles in a layer over meat mixture.  Add mushrooms with liquid over egg noodles.  Add water.

  3. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes on medium low until egg noodles are done.  

  4. Blend flour into sour cream; stir into the stroganoff.  

  5. Cook an additional 3 minutes and serve.
